THIRSTday

I'm excited to join a meme this week that David Etkin started on his blog, {Eat the Book}.  Today is Thursday THIRSTday: A beverage and a book.  I will try to post every week!

My THIRSTday post each week is going to have a twist.  One of my best friends, Karan Witham-Walsh, is an incredibly talented artist and makes pottery in her very own studio.  She also teaches ceramics at a local high school.  We decided to pair our passions:  books and pottery!  My beverage will be featured in her amazing designs.  Right now I'm listening to the audio book of Malcolm at Midnight by W.H. Beck, illustrated by Brian Lies in my car, so I'm using Karan's beautiful travel cup!!  Check it out on her Etsy site!  She sells lots of beautiful, durable, amazing pottery there, so you can order the mug, or anything else you find and love, for yourself!! The direct link to this mug is the Extra Large Wheel Thrown Mug in Croc Blue and Desert Sage.  Enjoy your coffee!

I'm really enjoying Malcolm at Midnight - come back and read my review when I'm finished.  It's a perfect book for middle graders!!

  2. I LOVE the idea of combining two of your interests and passions. And something tells me that I'm going to be buying a ceramic something by the time all is said and done. Does this mug have a lid?

Are you planning on THIRSTday-ing weekly?

    1. You would love her pottery!! That mug does not, but it still makes a good travel mug because of its shape. Yes, I'm going to THRISTday weekly! It's fun! Thanks for starting the meme!

  3. This is so exciting, Holly and Karan! What a wonderful combination of friendship, creativity, and passions. I can vouch for Karan's artistic creations, for I use her berry bowl every day! I wish you both the BEST, for your ideas will bring the best of two worlds to others. :-)
