It's THIRSTday!

Thank you to David Etkin for starting a meme on his blog, {Eat the Book}. Today is Thursday THIRSTday: A beverage and a book.

I like to feature the books I'm reading on Thursdays with the mugs my friend, Karan Witham-Walsh, makes.  She's an amazing potter and high school ceramics teacher!  Unfortunately, I'm not featuring one today, but go to her Etsy site - you'll find some wonderful pottery!

Today, I attended the first day of a two-day workshop with Laura Robb.  I love her ideas for incorporating the Common Core into the reading classroom.  The day also validated a lot of things I'm already doing, planning, and writing about, so that's always a good feeling!  Tomorrow we will be focusing on writing.  Her book has a plethora of ready-to-use resources.  I'm drinking a Diet Coke because workshops always wear me out!

What beverage and book are you enjoying today?

  1. Very cool! I kind of find this interesting as in a way the book I finished today made me think about a certain beverage, coffee. I don't like coffee, but wondered after I read Anna and the French Kiss if I might like European coffee.

  2. I'm like that, too, when I read books! I remember when I read Under the Tuscan Sun, all I wanted was pasta and red wine! ;-)
