Nonfiction Wednesday

Thanks to Kid Lit Frenzy, I made a goal to read more children's nonfiction this year which I will be featuring on my blog every Wednesday.

I'm working my way through the 2013 Nerdy Award Finalists:

2013-book, animals, math-connections, mock-caldecott-2014, nonfiction, nonfiction-challenge-2013

Interesting topic that kids will enjoy! Gorgeous, bright illustrations combine with facts about animals and numbers to make a must-read in the classroom. Be sure to read more information on each featured animal and the math used to make this book in the back. I could see it inspiring young mathematicians and animal enthusiasts to do their own research.

What nonfiction have YOU read this week?

  1. What a fresh concept, and I don't think just mathematicians would find it fascinating---it's simply fascinating, period! :D It's animal facts made fun. How great :)
