I think it helps our students see as people and makes that connection to reading that much stronger. Then there were exclamations of No! No! Don't you love how emotional we all get about a book?Margaret Simonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04434866104385187658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2752544695499885154.post-61272296544049259132016-09-14T12:20:22.839-04:002016-09-14T12:20:22.839-04:00I've had those moments while reading ONE AND O...I've had those moments while reading ONE AND ONLY IVAN, OUT OF MY MIND, and WONDER aloud. The kids then know how powerful reading is! It's inevitable that certain books will touch us so profoundly that tears will come. And it's a good experience for our students too!Ramonahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15929914252480696798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2752544695499885154.post-90962036644705950502016-09-13T23:43:28.751-04:002016-09-13T23:43:28.751-04:00I just read this book and loved it! I go through crying in front of my kids when I read Where the Red Fern Grows. Every time! There really is a hush that goes over the room. Mine happens before the super sad part but they know something is coming because my voice changes. Then the flood gates open and they aren't really sure what to do! I love it!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05857225124904230357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2752544695499885154.post-55904968117945459752016-09-13T21:46:17.048-04:002016-09-13T21:46:17.048-04:00Oh I love that book.
