Rocket and his little bird teacher are adorable. Who could resist those eyes?? Great to use for writing workshop. Writing sure feels that way sometimes - hard! But Rocket pulls through, and Owl makes a captivated audience. I love the page where Rocket begins to read to the owl, and the owl leans forward. So sweet.
I'm on a young adult dystopian novel kick right now, and this series is a good one! The only drawback is that now I have to wait until February to read the third one! Lena is out in the wilds now, and she has moved on to a new love interest since the end of Delirium left Alex for dead. The wilds is everything you'd expect it to be, and Lena has gotten stronger and smarter. Looking forward to seeing what happens next!! Divergent by Veronica Roth
I had heard so much about this book, and now I know why! Fans of The Hunger Games will like it a lot. Tris has to choose a faction, and she decides to leave her own family for the Dauntless.
