#MustReadin2014

I have a MONSTER To-Read list on Goodreads (939), so I love this challenge set up by Carrie Gelson and Maria Selke to knock off some of those books on our lists that we definitely want to read in 2014.

Now, how do I narrow this down to a manageable list for a post?!  Of course, I'll be reading outside this list, too, but here I go:
The Shadow Throne (The Ascendance Trilogy, #3)

  1. I really enjoyed A Long Way Gone! I couldn't put it down and I normally don't read non-fiction. It was a book club pick and everyone else liked it too! Good List!

  2. Great list. I wish to switch from five work days to two, so I would have time to read everything people are suggesting. The only two that I have read from your list are Gilead and Paper Towns. Have you read anything by Khaled Hossein? I am currently reading his And the Mountains Echoed. His Kite Runner and Thousand Splendid Suns were powerfully written.

  3. I love seeing other people's lists that are so varied! I'm trying to fill in those "reading gaps" this year, so it's always nice to get ideas. And I'm glad to see someone who has a list as long as mine! We spend so much time reading what just came out and what we've missed, it's crazy to think about all the books we don't even know that will be published in 2014! I just shared my TBR list with 4th graders this week, they loved seeing it. It's nice to be a positive role influence, isn't it? Happy reading :)

  4. So many great titles on this list! Love all of your reasons for reading too! So excited you have joined us! See The Shadow Throne at the top of your list. My children and I are counting down until this release! Sounds like you just need to reclaim yours long enough to read it!
