Thank you Margaret Simon for encouraging us to link up poetry this month using the hashtag #digipoetry. Also, thank you Leigh Anne Eck for creating a button for us to use.
Margaret Simon hosts a Sunday Link Up for posts about digital literacy at her blog to challenge us to share our technology journeys.
Lots of link-ups/memes to participate in today! I'm celebrating March in this post using Flipagram, and then summarizing it in a poem. How's that for multi-tasking?!
MARCH CELEBRATION
In like a lion,
out like a lamb...
We were challenged
to write 31 days in March
by Two Writing Teachers.
The Slice of Life Story Challenge,
and a challenge it was.
And a joy.
Libby and Jamie
danced the night away
at Miami University's
Charter Day Ball.
A parentheses in their
love story.
John traveled 8 hours
to attend Katie's
first sorority date night.
Faulty car and lost keys
punctuated a perfect weekend.
Moonbeams, writing, and dog walks.
Watching Peter and the Starcatchers
at the Playhouse in the Park;
the evening ending with coffee,
live music,
and a fire in the fireplace
at the Blind Lemon.
The finale
of "The Bachelor,"
"Prince Farming,"
spent with
friends, laughter, and farm-themed
food.
Displaying Tagxedos made out of
our 2015 One Little Words,
displaying our non-resolutions,
but promising to FOCUS
on goals and goodness instead.
Paige reminds us
to be kind.
It's cool.
Closing on
a new landominium,
celebrating down-sizing,
renovation,
a lake view with geese,
and an empty nest life.
A St. Patrick's Day 22nd
birthday,
complete with friends,
lots of pizza,
shamrock glasses,
Red Velvet cake,
and icing wars.
A wine-tasting dinner,
enjoying steak,
conversation,
and reds, roses,
whites,
and friends.
Spring breaks for all,
in different places...
Katie's in Pennsylvania
and Ft. Myers,
vising John at Lehigh
and then
spelling out O-H-I-O
on paddle boards
in the sunset
with her dorm floor friends.
Libby
traveling to Destin
with her soon-to-be
husband and second family -
fun in the sand and sea, and
rejoicing that she loves them,
too.
The perfect balmy breezes,
time in the cabana,
visits from iguanas,
lots of books to read
and an island to explore
on trikes.
Yes, trikes.
Toes in the sand
while eating filet and lobster,
watching the sunset
dip below the watery
horizon.
Time with my best friend
and husband of nearly
26 years.
Every day
is the best day of
your life.
Holly, what a poem of memories and blessings!
ReplyDeleteYour flipagram was so wonderful too!
Thank you for sharing the amazing things God is doing in your life.
What a fun celebration post, Holly. It is wonderful to see how your month blossomed from a roar to bah!
ReplyDeleteThat's so fun! I love this whole idea - so many links... all linked to celebrate such a great month!
ReplyDeleteYou brought it all together. What a great poem and I will have to try that flipagram. :)
ReplyDeleteWow ! I have to say I read some of those slices. Love to see them pop up in pictures and a poem!
