Slice of Life Story Challenge #13 - Yes, the Bachelor Finale

It's the March Slice of Life Story Challenge at Two Writing Teachers!

I've written about this before...The Bachelor/Bachelorette.  I know what many of you are thinking.  Seriously?!  You watch that __________?!  Yes.  Yes, I do.  I've watched it for years.  My only excuse is that I watch it with friends.  My best friends.  We used to watch it at my house when I lived in Lebanon.  It was one of my memories in last year's Slice of Life Story Challenge, saying goodbye to our old house, and previously in 2015 when I was writing about "What I Know For Sure".  We ALMOST abandoned it this year when we learned that the Bachelor was Nick.  If you know anything about "The Bachelor" show, you would know why we felt that way.  But, as a week passed, and we had planned on not getting together, I felt panicky.  Wait!  What?!  We wouldn't be getting together?  We have to get together!  No matter how bad it is.  So I texted everyone, and I think everyone felt the same...we're committed.  Yes, we accept that rose.  No. Matter. What.

So tonight, even though our meeting place is different - it's at Julie's now - halfway between Karan's and our new condo (and Jill's - that's another story!), it's still a time when we can get together, catch up on our lives, eat and drink, and have fun.  It's fellowship, as Nathan (thanks, Nathan) said in 2015...

And Molly is still making amazing cupcakes!  A bakery in her future...?  And thank you, Julie - you're a wonderful hostess!

BTW,  we were Team Raven.  How about you all?

  1. I never was part of a Bachelor/Bachelorette viewing group, but it always looks like people who gather together really enjoy it. Glad you and your friends have continued your tradition!
