#MustRead in 2021

I am so excited that Leigh Anne Eck and Cheriee Weichel are reviving the #MustRead hashtag and reaching out to bloggers to post their must read book stacks for 2021.  Read all about it here.  This is somewhat of a monumental task for me since I have a to-read list on Goodreads of 1,505 titles!!  And I don't even go through and mark all the titles on Goodreads that I want to read!  Also, the 2020 Nerdies are being announced, so more books are added to my list every day! My list is still comprised mostly of 2020 or older books - not quite ready to think about  new books coming out, but I'm sure I'll be reading those as well. It's fun to make plans and see where reading will take me in 2021.  Here we go!

PICTURE BOOKS:

MIDDLE GRADE BOOKS:

YOUNG ADULT BOOKS:

POETRY/NOVELS in VERSE:

GRAPHIC NOVELS:

ADULT BOOKS:

PROFESSIONAL BOOKS:

Whew!  Lots of books to read in 2021!!  Realistically, I know I won't get to all of these, but as Donalyn Miller says in Reading in the Wild, readers make plans. I'm looking forward to seeing what books other bloggers have on their lists.  Join us!

  1. I have The Four Winds on my must read list, too. I can't wait until it publishes! I've been trying not to buy any more professional reads until I read those that are already in my pile, but I am curious about Risk. Fail. Rise.

  2. Hi Holly. We share a few titles on our lists and I am now having to add a few titles to my TBR. I really want to read the Selena book and will likely try to get to Obama's book too. Have a great year of reading!

  3. I didn't know you had posted until you commented, Holly! What a super list of books. I have some on my list, have read some & loved them. The Splendid & the Vile is terrific for adult history. And I loved Efren Divided, just got Exquisite from the library. As I've written before, many of us are reading on similar paths. I wish I had more time to read & admire those of you who are still teaching & still manage terrific reading. Happy New Year and thanks for so many ideas to add.

  5. Wow! It looks to me like you are going to have a spectacular reading year. The books that I've finished were wonderful. There are a few here that I need to add to my list.
    Happy reading in 2021!
